My favorite Fritz saying of late:
"Mommy, you have a frog in your mouth?"
"Yep, but it's gone now."
"Oh, you popped it out?"
We have had a sickness in our house that has hung on for dear life the last month. This is Fritz' translation of the saying "frog in your throat" but his is always in his mouth!

tea time and cuddles
We had a quiet day at home yesterday and it was lovely. The boys joined me for tea time in the afternoon, each happily getting their own mug of "real, grown up tea". Thankfully I have a supply of caffeine free herbal teas with combos like Mango Passionfruit. I really can't stand that kind of tea (like drinking warm juice), so I have almost pitched the box several times but keep it just in case. Handy. Later in the day the boys got to watch a tv show for about 45 minutes. I was going to work in the kitchen, so Wally said to his brother "Fritzi, let's cuddle." And of course, Fritz replied "Sure." (One of his very favorite things to say.) They snuggled up together and didn't move apart for the entire time. Such lovies.
"Daddy is skiing the powder snow in Canada."
Wally's prayer before dinner at his friend's birthday party:
"Dear God. Thank you that my daddy is skiing the powder in Canada. Please bring him home safely. Amen."
Well, I'd say we are teaching him something about priorities, haha! He does know (always tells me) that all GOOD things come from God.
"letters for my family"
Wally came home from school last week with a stack of "letters for my family". We each got one. He passed them out with pride and was quite serious about the entire affair. For several days he wanted to be sure we all still had our letters. Here is Tana with her letter.

empty crib...
Our little man Fritz moved out of his crib yesterday. He wore me down with his incessant getting out of the crib rather than going to sleep for nap or bed time. I was hopeful that he would be convinced by my "tales" that big kids get to sleep in big beds but they DON'T get out. Nap time in the big boy bed went off without a hitch. Bedtime was equally good. Sadly, my little 8am riser was at my bedside at 6:25 this morning. But he was happy and we cuddled a bit. Even though you correct me every time Fritzi, I'll still call you baby.

playing school
Two boys playing school. Love.
What is that I see??? WALLY!
Written all by himself. We were both bursting with pride.
And then it was gone. Good thing I had the camera.
Don't forget 'Little Bit'. Cracking me up. "HEY!"
