talking points
Things I have heard today from Walter:
"Mommy what kind of jumpoline is that? I think it is a basketball, big kid jumpoline." (trampoline)
"Look Mommy, Olivia's daddy is cooking at the bar-ga-u. They are having a bar-ga-u dinner."
"Yes, I mam." (am)

update on our little friends
Fritz:
"Ink and Chink" made that one appearance several months ago and haven't been heard of again until this past weekend. Now they are back and a constant point of conversation. Fritz tells us (repeatedly) that he has two friends, "Ink and Chink". They go to the high school in his bedroom. Yesterday Fritz got an owie on his foot and it was promptly blamed on Chink. Also, Fritz says with much emphasis, they are NOT Wally's friends.
Wally:
Bear and Monkey are Wally's lovies. He is very attached to them, more so that Fritz has been to his Alligator and Buppo. Bear and Monkey are growing into more clear identities these days. Monkey is a boy. Bear is a girl. Sometimes they are grown ups and married. Sometimes they are big kids. But always, Wally is their Daddy. Right now, Fritz and Wally and Bear are sitting on the floor behind me working on projects. Bear has her own paper and is coloring and putting stickers on her project.

portraits by Walter
Wally took these photos at dinner the other night with my phone. I thought he was playing a game on the phone, but found these photos four days later. A bit impressionistic, but a great rendering of his view point and portraiture of his family members.

mad for bubbles
Miss Montana loves chasing bubbles possibly more than anything else in the world. She is totally crazy for it. She momentarily forgets her old lady status, jumps and stands high up on those gimpy hind legs, barks at and bites the bubbles and whines for more. This is possibly the funniest picture I have ever seen of her...
Easter fun with family
We had so much fun at our family Easter dinner. These cousins are getting to be quite the playmates. I can just picture this flock of boys running around together, acting goofy, rough housing and laughing till their sides hurt for the next ten years (well, for forever really!).
Photos taken by Auntie Ali, a Nikon user who claimed to be struggling through the evening with my Canon, but came up with these great pics none-the-less.

onion rosemary confiturra
Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day strikes again! This book is one winner after another. A stuffed Provencal flatbread for Easter dinner. Yum. The homemade onion rosemary confiturra given to us by Matt's coworker for Christmas was the secret ingredient.
