rock gym morning

For the first time ever, we received a birthday party invite and it was only for Fritz.  This was a difficult but good and needed lesson for the boys.  They aren't going to have the same friends and get to do everything together forever.  And so it was that Walter got to spend the morning alone with Daddy at the rock gym.  Well, not entirely alone.  His one true love from preschool, Hazel, was also there that morning (I knew she would be).  Hazel as it turns out is a seasoned pro and taught Walter (literally!) the ropes.  He thought it was pretty fantastic.

christmas card photo shoot

Well, when you need a Christmas card made ASAP, you are lucky to have snow in your back yard.  You've got 5 minutes tops before it all goes to heck with a crying baby.

Found this one on Matt's phone.  Turns out I was there too!

thanksgiving fun

I love this picture.  The three big boys out front, two babies in strollers, my dear sweet sister in law and miraculously a sunny fall day.
I don't want to give any one the wrong idea.  Wally so loves his baby sister and spends plenty of time doting on her.  But the sheer number of photos of these two together tells the story of a special kind of bond.
Falling asleep on Daddy.  Safe and warm and loved.

genetics

This is kind of a wacky picture but reminds me that though I don't often realize it, I guess this kiddo looks like mama. He definitely has my non existent top lip!
